reason to sell: got two other vehicles and buying a new truck in 2019
I can be on Vancouver Island this Friday (Dec. 14th or Sunday Dec. 16th) for viewing / test driving.
nice little truck I put a fair amount of work into (have receipts for everything!)
- I bought the truck last fall swapped the engine to a 2010 V6 4L engine with apx 160000 kms on it - as of now.
engine came from (Pro Auto Recyclers / Surrey - bullet-proof outfit, have the paperwork).
-replaced clutch master & slave cylinder, throw-out and pilot bearing inside the clutch (wear looked fine) - a pretty big job.
- new rear brake cylinder passenger side.
- NEW goodrich ice/snow tires with 2500km on them
- oil changes every 5000km since I've had it with quality Lucas synthetic oil.
- tranny, both differentials service this summer.
- 4x4 works great, but haven't used it too much due to lack of mud roads around where we live :)
- decent canopy, but missing hatch (scrapyard will have one)
- Washed the truck in Victoria every couple of weeks, premium wash with everything.
- nice seat covers I bought last fall.
- The body is 2008 and has 224000 kms with no rust on the frame and little surface rust on some spots + a few scratches and dents.
- the heater right now goes only on hot, which can be fixed in a shop for about $300 or you do it in the driveway with a $40 part and a bit of mechanical effort.
- Cruise control doesn't work, and I didn't bother looking into it, everything else - electronically - is good to go.
My 'Danger' (his name) is a solid truck, has downsides about the looks but mechanically in great condition.
